Founded in 2002 by Dr. Karunesh Kumar Agarwal, Cyberwit.net now publishes several beautifully produced titles per year. Over the last 18 years, we have been heartened to see interest in hybrid genres continuing to grow, with many more innovative writers finding a good home for their work with us. Cyberwit books are now taught at many colleges and universities. Cyberwit seeks to publish excellent works of poetry that are unlikely to find a home elsewhere.

Kaya Press is a group of dedicated writers, artists, readers, and lovers of books working together to publish the most challenging, thoughtful, and provocative literature being produced throughout the Asian and Pacific Island diasporas.

A Taos Press is a multicultural and ethically voiced independent press. Our poetry books usually have a theme in each of them.

Miles Press publishes books and chapbooks of poetry, including the winner of the 42 Miles Press Poetry Prize.

Able Muse Press publishes emerging and established poets and writers, and anthologies of poetry, fiction, and art. We also publish periodical print versions of Able Muse.

Begun in 1979 by poet, teacher, and printer Gary Metras to print and publish short collections of quality contemporary poetry using the methods and equipment of the antique book arts, letterpress printing and hand-sewn bindings.

Airlie Press is a nonprofit publishing collective dedicated to cultivating and sustaining fine contemporary poetry. We produce beautiful and compelling books by Pacific Northwest poets; our mission is to offer writers in the region a shared-work publishing alternative.

Alice James Books was also founded as a feminist poetry press in 1973. And while they remain committed to their original cause, they have since expanded their scope to include writers and poets of all backgrounds and genders. They accept submissions through their annual competition which is currently open.

City Lights Publishers has launched several famous poets, including Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Allen Ginsberg. City Lights publishes 12 books a year. How to submit: City Lights accepts book proposals by snail mail only. Response time six months.

Affiliated with the University of Houston, Arte Publico Press is a Houston based publishing house that comes with a rich history spanning back to 1979. Established by Nicolas Kanellos, this press claims to be the biggest publisher of poetry, drama and fiction titles in the US.
